Blade Runner 2049

My god it is long.  And slow.  And long.  I don't think I've ever been to see a movie before when by the end I was thinking :

1) JUST GET TO THE END ALREADY.  Everyone die, I don't care, I just don't care, I will shoot them all myself, just let it be over.
2) no wait, that ending is as irritating as an ending could possibly be.
3) thank god that is over.
4) I would pay at least £50 to never watch that again, or to be let out of the cinema early if I should stray in.
5) (in retrospective shock) So many lingering shots of the backs of people's heads!
6) thank GOD that is over
7) the more I think about the ending, the more I hate it with the fire of a thousand suns

That is how I felt when I watched the most recent Carrie remake -- I guess it means I won't be watching bladerunner. Thanks for saving me 3,000yen!

My condolences. I had no desire to see it! But I am hard-sell on action movies. I am taking Alex to see Thor: Ragnarok when it opens here in a week or so. I can tolerate (and even enjoy) those because they usually include enough humor to carry me through all the noise and chaos.

I like a cheesy action movie.

This was not a cheesy action movie :-(

Just for the record, I really liked it. And the ice cream was nice.

I agree about the ice cream. About the movie, not so much...

And I liked the first one so much! Harrison Ford was wow! back then and the whole atmosphere was so innovative. But these remakes/spin offs/precuels/ whatever are not worth it. Not watching it until it's on Netflix and maybe not even then.

I should probably mention in the interest of fairness that my husband liked it. Sometimes he has no taste :-D

I liked the first one (and I remember enjoying Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep too, though it's many years since I read it.)

The remake... not so much. I don't think remakes are always a bad move, but.

I haven't seen it yet, because WHY DO THEY HAVE TO REMAKE EVERYTHING?????

Also, I am just not into spending two hours of my life contemplating dark dystopian futures anymore.

TWO hours? It's nearly THREE!

Three hours is Way Too Long unless the movie is outstandingly amazing and has way more plot than this does.

THREE HOURS????
